The reason why they had the field trip was to go to the post office. All of the kids had a valentine card to send to their parents. Ellie was so excited, she waited in line and then got to put the stamp on the envelope. Here she is mailing it to our house. The card came 2 days later and Ellie thought that it was so funny!
After the post office they went to Cafe du Monde where they had New Orleans famous Beignet! As you can see, Ellie was really enjoying it and kept wanting more and more powdered sugar. At one point O looked over and she was just dumping regular sugar on the beignet. Finally, I had to say no more! It was finally after you couldn't see the beignet anymore under all of the sugar. She might have a little sweet tooth!
